About Smile Train OC
Background
Smile Train is an international charity organization which provides free surgeries for children who were born with cleft lips and palates in underdeveloped countries. Clefts cause difficulty with eating, breathing, and speaking, ultimately causing children to be isolated from their societies. A simple, 45-minute surgery to fix the clefts only costs $400.00 and has the power to transform lives.

Smile Train OC Concerts
With the support of donors and partnership with the Smile Train Organization, Smile Train OC puts on an annual benefit concert which features local high school students’ musical talents, passion and dedication to this special cause. Students who are selected to perform get an opportunity to become part of this great organization and raise awareness among their peers.
Smile Train OC was named the Best High School Fundraiser Group from Smile Train Organization. From 2009-2023 the group raised over $100,000 through benefit concerts. We are so proud to contribute to putting new smiles on children and bringing them a better future.
How To Get Involved
To become a member of Smile Train OC, students must be in high school, submit an essay or musical bio, and audition.
Smile Train OC school club members are given 25 hours each year. Students selected to perform are given 140 hours each year.
